Do you have confidence in Paul Hewitt as Head Coach of the Patriots at this time?

Of course it is possible, but given the consistency in names and timing, I'd guess they all 4 belong to one person. Cough. Couchcoach. Cough

I don't believe that you are being fair to Couchcoach, who's cousin went from starting (1st 7 games) to out of the rotation (8th game).

I lost confidence in Hewitt a long time ago. And he has done nothing to earn back my support. Time to take your big bags of cash and hit the road.

Why are the GMU Patriots, under the direction of Paul Hewitt, changing their name to the Possums? They play dead at home & die on the road.

I really don't understand what is going on with our University. They aught to know they are firing him. Wash their hands already of this goof ball. He's an embarrassment.

I'd give him another year, another recruiting class
You make a good point. In fact, his recruiting was probably hampered by the fact that he had L's players on the team and the fact that we were posting negative things on here.

So, we should probably hit reset and renew him for another five years after this season. We on this forum then need to ignore the glaring problems that no one else can see on their own, and only post positive comments.

This way he will have four years to recruit with no criticism while he has his guys on the the team helping him land recruits. He'll have things turned around in no time. A decade or two, at most.

We definately need to kick Hewitt out as soon as possible. He has already given a 2015 offer to Trhae Mitchell.......he is 6-6 and an athletic small forward!:bricks: He will forever go after as many small forwards he can find if he stays at Mason. We will never have a real point guard.

Hewitt clearly has a sexual fetish problem with 6-6/6-7 small forwards.

It's funny...I actually dig that mojo. One of my favorite teams ever was 1989 Illinois, that came at you with interchangeable guys like Kendall Gill, Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle, etc. That team also reminded me of our Final Four team, because all those guys (I think) were recruited locally from Chicago, much like all our guys were Maryland area boys.

I actually also dig the Kenwan Alford, Cam Taylor, Jemel Buck (I'm mising one) SF mojo, although that Mason team(s) generally weren't very good.

My logic is that the easiest guys to recruit are generally small forwards. If you can't find a good center, F it, recruit guys that can play over projects.

Just devils advocating. Maybe we'll get Nick Anderson and co. in Hewitt's second five-year...

By the way, can one of you guys please light yourself on fire outside of Edwards' office? If you really want change/press? You'll definitely make Deadspin...

Jollay,
Yes having interchangeable players can be a major advantage especially on defense if the players all fit together. My problem with Hewitt is that unfortunately all of the stud point guards that are out there with quick feet are anywhere from 5'11-6'3, not 6'7/6'6. He is using the scholarship spots that will be available in May when the seniors graduate on mostly small forwards. Most of his offers are with small forwards. WE NEED A POINT GUARD.

This is probably what Hewitt's face looks like when he is aroused with the sight of another small forward up for grabs.
