Villanova was 24-9 overall last year. They were 13-3 at home, 9-3 on the road, and 2-3 at neutral sites. The Wildcats finished 15-5 (3rd place) in Big East play but lost to Georgetown in the Big East quarterfinals. They were 2-7 against Quad 1 teams, 8-1 against Quad 2, 9-1 against Quad 3, and 5-0 against Quad 4 teams.
The Wildcats lost to Utah State in the first round of the NCAA tourney.
We are 1-4 against Villanova all-time. Our lone win was was on March 18, 2011 in the NCAA tourney. It was a 61-57 thriller and one to remember!

Villanova was picked to finish 3rd in 26-27 Big East Preseason Polls behind UConn and St. John’s.
They return just 3 players from last year but brought in a wealth of talent through the portal and recruiting. Tyler Perkins was voted onto the All-Big East Preseason 1st Team. Transfers Kwame Evans Jr. and Devin Royal were selected to the 2nd team.

They were out-rebounded by .5 boards per game and averaged 10.1 turnovers per contest.
Thoughts: There are high expectations for Villanova this year. This should be a very good test against a highly regarded team. Hopefully a box score for the game will be available for review. If anyone lives in the Philadelphia area and is able to attend please share your observations.
