Baraka Okojie. Can't praise him enough.... what a game. Kid is something special. Put our team on his back and wouldn't back down.

Had 6 Dayton Fans next to me.... 2 dads and 4 kids..... one 9/10 year old kid kept yelling mason sucks a** most of 1st half and the Dad seemed to encourage it. Shut him up 2nd half and then they all left right before buzzer. Hysterical.
Sorry you had that experience. My season tickets are in section 102....behind the visitor bench, 10 rows up. There were mostly Flyer fans in that section but no obnoxious ones. More middle-age alums who certainly cheered for their team, but didn't get on your nerves. Generally well-mannered visitors, especially given the games intensity.

He really made a difference in the second half. I saw the halftime box score and Baraka was a -9, worst on Mason's team! What a turnaround!

Same observation here. Dayton fans are good guests, as were Bill & Mary alumni during the CAA days. Pretty much the polar opposite of vcu fan behavior.

We closed down Oh George with some Dayton fans who bought us a round and slice of pizza. And the folks around us at the game weren't obnoxious.
Nice. We had Dayton fans right behind us and they were nice too. Even commenting with us that Holmes traveled at one point. But I guess there are sh***y fans with every fanbase.

Yeah, the national ranking must have gotten into some of their heads. There was one guy in front of us who kept standing up and talking crap and turning around and taunting. He can't take it though. When we were up 11 or at the end of game, he just sat there silent.... And few other fans saying "This loss didn't mean anything. No big deal. Mason still sucks, blah blah blah"

Now that the euphoria from last night has worn off a bit I'll offer up a few more thoughts. I would have to say this is our best home win ever, not our most exciting, just the best and most important. I also have to give props to Ronald Polite. I've been critical of his play at times but he certainly stepped up big last night. I would love to see him continue to contribute like he did last night. Baraka, for a freshman, is an absolute stud. If he develops a 3 point shot he'll be unstoppable. Austin Ball gave us good minutes again last night. He didn't score but still made a positive impact on the outcome. The future certainly looks bright.
