Hey Rhody Fan here. I've followed your board since you joined the conference. Went to a game at Eagle and it's a great facility. You guys have everything you need to succeed. The A10 needs you to succeed. This conference should always be the best non Power conference. Bar NONE. We are glad to get Archie. And the level of support we just received is what we always wanted. Big coaches coming in to the A10. Can we get back to a 6 bid league? I'm hoping.

I know this is very off-season talk but if the league does so well out of conference again, there’s no reason why the a10 can’t get back to 5 or 6 bids.

That said. The floor should be 2 bids and most years it should be 3-4 in my opinion.

You guys have no faith. The key is kicking arse in OOC. This isn't the CAA. This is the A10. Giddy up!!!!
To get 6 bids you need all six to basically win out in OOC, and then have a circular firing squad where they all pick up like 2-3 losses in conference to each other. It's *possible* but statistically unlikely. And even in that scenario where there are 6 NCAA worthy teams (there aren't even close to that today), that sixth bid is probably coming from the 6 seed winning the A10 tourney.

The 6th seed has won 2 of the last 3 tournaments (with 2020 being canceled).

The last time the A10 get 6 teams in was in 2014. St. Joes won as the 4 seed. Dayton finished 6th tied with UMass. There were two top 25 teams in vcu and St. Louis as the 1 and 2 seeds in the conference.

Sounds like the George Washington job could come down to Mike Pegues or Miami assistant Chris Caputo, who's been with Larranaga for 20 years. Delaware coach Martin Ingelsby also in the mix.

If GW was smart, they would wait until St. Peter's is done playing and put Shaheen Holloway at the top of their list. I realize the last MAAC head coach they hired didn't pan out, but imagine what Holloway could do with an actual budget and being able to not only recruit the DC metro area but also NYC.

Are they competing in resources and salary with Seton Hall? Smith Center may have nice popcorn but it’s a little league arena and the AD could give a crap about athletics.

Seton Hall would most definitely be the better choice for Holloway regarding money and resources, but GW would be foolish to throw its hat in the ring given the few big openings that are still out there.

If anything, Georgetown should put Ewing on the street and throw a blank check at Holloway. They can afford it, plus it would screw Seton Hall.

Interesting idea. Given Holloway's current status, replacing Ewing with Holloway would likely be well received by the GU boosters. It's tough to replace a legend (St. John's did it with Chris Mullens), but Holloway for Ewing would work.
