I mean, Leonard Hamilton got Miami in the NCAA Tourney three of the nine years he had the Hurricanes in conference play.

With L set to miss the tourney this year to settle into a 1 for 3 NCAA Tournament ratio (right on Hamilton's .333 percentage), can Miami justify paying Coach L his enormous salary well into next decade?

The pressure will certainly be on next year if Coach is brought back. If he does not make the tourney next year, which looks unlikely, he will only have made the tourney once in four years.

Perry Clark coached Miami for four years early last decade, and only made the tourney once in four years.

He resigned in disgrace.

L with ANOTHER loss to slip back down to .500.

Word is there is an emergency meeting on campus Wednesday to decide what to do about the moribund Hurricane program.

It's not so much the mediocre results, it's just that they're paying L so darn much.

I haven't heard that.

But I will tell you what is funny. Miami's very effective man-to-man high ball pressure, switch on every screen defense (sound familiar?) from last year has been replaced by a rather mediocre 2-3 zone (also sound familiar?), and they were playing a lot of one-on-one isolation offense with very little ball movement where someone dribbles at the top of the key, gets a high ball screen, and they drive into the paint and hope something good happens (also sound familiar?)

I am no expert in any program save for the Patriot one, but if what you say is true this is the first hard, soft, concrete and/or circumstantial evidence that Larranaga might have run this Mason team into the ground even worse than Hewitt.

If no one could play defense, would L even put five of the these joker buzzards out on the court?

Jim doesn't like me a whole lot during the season, is there anyway that someone can call him and find out if everything is cool with him coming back for next year?

Maybe one of you guys that literally drove down there and gave him oral pleasure last year? Aren't you en route down there P8?

I chuckle when I read your posts. But I'll wager Miami is back in the NCAA's next season.

Miami beat Wake Forest today 69-56. Just stating a fact from today.

Now, I hear we're having Pieros before the game today. They're always good for the Pat Club.

Pablo likes riddles....

I am currently watching a Hewitt-coached player and a Larranaga -coached player in the starting lineup of an NBA team. The Hewitt-coached player looks like he is hiding ebola under his hair.

Which NBA team am I watching?

Now quit trying to coax me out of my safety and security of my ebola thread, people. I no longer care about what he who walks among the Cubans in the worstsports city on earth does.

If so, then they just broke one of the longest home winning streaks by beating Florida at Florida

FWIW

Florida was down four players in the game, including starting forward Dorian Finney-Smith.

Finney-Smith missed the game because of two hairline fractures in the index and middle fingers on his left, non-shooting hand. Finney-Smith had been cleared to play Monday, but his hand swelled when casted and became really painful.

Florida also was without forward Chris Walker, forward Alex Murphy and guard Dillon Graham. Walker served a two-game suspension to start the season. Murphy has to six out eight more games under NCAA transfer rules. And Graham left the team Saturday and intends to transfer.

The short-handed Gators started walk-on Jacob Kurtz, who finished with six points and eight rebounds.

Just beat #24 Illinois 61-70 for their second win of the season over a ranked opponent. The Illini's 90 points per game average was 5th nationally coming into the game.

Miami has 1) an endless stream of cat quick guards, and 2) An athletic but raw 7 footer who really gets after it on the glass.

They look like a Sweet 16 team to me.
