DISCLAIMER: THEIR INDIVIDUAL STAT SHEET FOR THE SEASON IS SCREWED UP AS OF THIS POSTING. So, stats below may not be accurate because apparently math does not exist in Nevada. Too much time at legal brothels?
Nevada currently has five players who average double figures. They are 6’4” Desmon Cambridge Jr. (15.0 ppg), 6.2” Grant Sherfield (15.3 ppg), 7’0” Will Baker (13.5 ppg), 6’7” AJ Braham (13.0 ppg & 7.3 reb), 7’0” Warren Washington (12.3 ppg & 6.9 reb). They haven’t gotten much production from their bench thus far which works to our advantage.
The Wolf Pack have averaged 81.0 points per game while giving up 79.0. Nevada is shooting 48.0% from the floor and 41.2% from 3. Opponents are shooting 45.9% from the field and 30.2% from 3. The Wolf Pack have out rebounded their opponents by 3.2 board thus far.
The game is now on ESPN+.
My prediction: They are BIG. This will not be an easy one and fatigue takes its toll. For the first time this year I am predicting a loss. Nevada 71 - GMU 70. We fall to 0-2 for the tourney. We drown our sorrows by playing in the snow and going to the food court yet again because it’s the only damn thing to do in town!
