Lots of coaches will claim "our guys never quit...they really battled and gave it all they had." It's what you HAVE to say as a coach, but clearly it is not always true. However, this team does appear to be giving max effort almost all of the time. With two (2) exceptions (the Nevada and ODU games) all the games we have lost have been close (I'm calling our loss @Kansas as close). And those two bad losses were when we were playing guys (well, one player in particular) out of position.

Our two losses in the A10 have been by a total of 3 pts. Lots to feel good about going into Saturday's game.

Whp played out of position against ODU and Nevada? Ugly games. I know XJ didn't play against ODU.

Josh currently leads the A10 in scoring, is 19th in rebounds (Ticket is 2nd), and 8th in blocked shots.

Awfully strong case for POY so far. Hands down the Most Improved.

No. Highest has been second team (Livingston, Marquise, Kier — Marquise was robbed though for being on a mediocre team).

They’re not as young as they appear. Collins is a third-year, so are Okoro, Hargrove and Jimerson. Thatch and Linssen are in their fourth year. Redshirts and the free COVID year are skewing a lot of this stuff.

For context, if Mason wanted to we could classify Oduro, Ticket and XJ as sophomores and Cooper as a junior. The only player on our roster in his final year of eligibility is Schwartz.

Linssen is the only one for sure leaving after the season though. Perkins will most likely leave as well as he can make a pretty penny overseas even if he has the ACL injury recovery. They should be really good next year though

Jimerson also technically and really a redshirt soph as his first year didn't count due to his medical redshirt 10 games in

Lol they are listing everyone at the lowest possible class they can. Jimerson is a 3rd year frosh and Thatch is a 4th year sophomore. Basically add at least one maybe two classes to everyone to get a true sense of how old they are, except the one true freshman Traore. Toddlers they are not.
