I have not been impressed at our 5 spot so far (outside of Allenbach’s rebounding). Could be something to watch going forward.
Tony said that he's NOT worried about the 5! Listen again to the Post Game around the 8 minute mark.Tony says he's worried about the 5.
Going to keep trying to push more and more students to come. That is just the first step- getting students to learn all the cheers and making a larger difference is the next step!! If anyone has any suggestions or things the account can do/students can do in general to improve the overall environment I’m all ears.Just got home from the game. Many thoughts.
The final score was better than expected. I thought we might win by 11.
Mincy played like a stud, hopefully more to come.
Troutman and Kanga have the potential to be ELITE defenders.
Team defense was strong.
Offense, as always this early, will evolve.
Student attendance was better than expected, thanks @Stoolguy for your efforts. They still don't know what to do and sat on their hands too much but for a first effort I'll take it.
The DJ did not annoy me because he didn't say anything, he just played music.
The Green Machine was up to par, which is a very high bar.
Overall attendance was poor, but I'm used to that. Many past season ticket holders near me were absent. Driven out by cost or just couldn't make it? Time will tell.
The Gold Room was a major disappointment. Same tired act. Wegman's for food. Long lines, no seating, yada yada yada. "Improvements to come". I sure as hell hope so.
Great seeing friends and loyal Mason fans.
The O'Connor injury is of concern. I hope to get some official word on his status, not the shit show we've seen with Fatt Hill. Transparency with a fan base is always a good thing.
On to game 2, which I hope will be another Patriot win.
So closePatriot Pressure - 71

Focus on the front row(s). They stand and cheer, the rest will follow.Going to keep trying to push more and more students to come. Ooof. Not good.Attendance for the Wofford game was 3009
I get the sense that Skinn is cautiously optimistic about this season. He knows he lost some really good players, but he also sees some nice things developing with this group.
Post game presser with Tony Skinn, Riley, and Kory
The student turn out was really good last night, and most of them actually stayed until the end. I hate to say it but its almost like we need a "cheerleader" (Not an actual cheerleader) like most MLS / NWSL teams have the front of their supporter sections, getting the fans rowdy, leading chants, being the voice that gets the students engaged no matter the score. The students have to be into it, on their feet most of the time (not all the time, lets take baby steps). We have to find a way to create the student fan culture, because right now its kind of non-existent.Going to keep trying to push more and more students to come. We have the mason maniacs which I assume are to do that- I can follow up to see if there's anything they can do to lead some cheers. The student turn out was really good last night, and most of them actually stayed until the end.
