We have the mason maniacs which I assume are to do that- I can follow up to see if there's anything they can do to lead some cheers.
A couple more thoughts; we need a maniac or two, or a team of people, even if they are not students, on the wood and in the isles creating this atmosphere, with flags, signs, ect.. The cheer team, masonettes, and yes, even the green machine, just don't do enough to get the students involved.
I actually liked the DJ for the most part. His positioning in the student section is questionable, but, it is what it is. He needs to get more involved and interact with the students when playing music, get them up and play things that will get the students going and not just grooving in their chairs. (enough with party in the EBA, that's an atmosphere killer)
I don't know who the front few rows are reserved for, but the front few rows need to go to students who WANT to be there, not TOLD to be there.

Yeah man, the blimp has been gone for a while now. I can't remember when it ended exactly. I guess whatever year the Chick-fil-a sponsorship ended.
Loved the Chic-fil-a giveaway coupons whenever we scored 70 pts (and later yrs anytime we won)!

Glory Day coupons for free wings were available on their table on the South concourse. Glad they are back but last few years they didn't come to every game.

Was there not also like a popcorn drop from the rafters or something? That and the blimp were nice for people higher up in the stands that were beyond the throwing distance of the cheerleaders. Also my son noticed after one three pointer the cheerleaders instead had to get to the George/Mason routine with the Masonettes and didn’t get the shirts into the stands, at least right away. I don’t know if they did it late.

I believe that was also a Chick-fil-a promotion. They would drop paper bags with a parachute down from the rafters on people that contained coupons I think. There used to be so many in-game promotions going on, wth happened?
