"SMU fired Rob Lanier last month after just two seasons at the helm, including this past campaign when the Mustangs went 20-13. It quickly became clear that athletic director Rick Hart wanted to make a splashy hire with the school entering the ACC this summer.

The school's selling points included its financial resources, facilities and its location in the talent-rich Dallas area."

"McCollum has been one of the most successful college basketball coaches in the country during his time at Northwest Missouri State, leading the Bearcats to four Division II national championships and a 394-91 record during his 15 seasons at the helm.

Under McCollum, Northwest Missouri State has won 11 straight MIAA regular-season titles and 12 total. Prior to him taking over, the Bearcats had won just four MIAA titles over the previous 62 seasons.

He replaced Steve Tappmeyer -- who coached McCollum for two seasons at Northwest Missouri State from 2001 to 2003 -- in 2009 after four seasons as an assistant coach at Emporia State. After going a combined 22-31 in his first two seasons, McCollum has led Northwest Missouri State to 13 straight 20-win seasons and earned NABC Division II National Coach of the Year honors five times.

The Bearcats went 38-0 in 2018-19 and suffered just one loss in both the 2016-17 and 2019-20 seasons.

This past season, Northwest Missouri State finished 29-5 overall and 20-2 in conference play, advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II tournament."

"Ethan Faulkner helped orchestrate Youngstown State University’s best five-year stretch of men’s basketball at the Division I level, and he will now take charge of the program as it looks to continue its upward trend as one of the region’s top mid-major programs. YSU Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ron Strollo announced Faulkner’s promotion from associate head coach to the program’s 14th head coach on Monday.

Faulkner, who joined the YSU staff as an assistant coach in 2019, has served as the program’s associate head coach the last two seasons. He was an integral part of the program’s first regular-season conference championship, first berth to the National Invitation Tournament, and winning 98 games over the last five seasons. Since Faulkner joined the staff, Youngstown State players have garnered All-Horizon League laurels 11 times, including eight in the last three seasons."

"Gannon’s Jordan Fee was believed to be a front runner at Canisius, but now it’s looking like he’s headed to Florida Atlantic as an assistant. Here’s what some of the list at Canisius looks like now: NJIT assistant RaShawn Stores, George Mason assistant Steve Curran, Swarthmore head coach Landry Kosmalski, and least one other D3 head coach from New England. More names as I hear them."

"Riley will move down the Palouse highway after three successful seasons as coach at Eastern Washington. He'll take over a Washington State program coming off its first NCAA tournament appearance in 16 years, but with significant questions after the collapse of the Pac-12 Conference. The Cougars will play the next two years as affiliate members of the West Coast Conference, but have already seen key players enter the transfer portal.

Riley replaces Kyle Smith, who spent five years in Pullman before taking the head job at Stanford after the Cougars were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA tournament by Iowa State.

The 35-year-old Riley was 62-30 in his three seasons at Eastern Washington, including consecutive Big Sky regular-season titles. He agreed to a six-year contract with Washington State."

That’s a tough job to move into.

He only gave sneakers to the Duquesne team. That was his high school coach. We’ll see if exteammate equals a deeper gift.
Wherever Bronny goes, a few million is coming with him for NIL. He will prob build the roster too. Scripted, like the nba.

I’ll be surprised if Bronny doesn’t end up at Duquesne.
Well…. He would probably be the most high profile visiting opponent in recent history since Isiah Thomas brought his FIU panthers. I loved heckling him from the front row of the Patriot Platoon even though Jay Marsh was probably worried the world was going to end lol
