It could happen ... wouldn’t be surprised to see guys who are in the portal decide to stay as well.
I wouldn’t rule out anybody returning, including AJ, Green, Kolek or Oduro. They were smart to put their respective names in the transfer portal, so it’s incumbent on the new coach to re-recruit them if he wants them to stay.
Younger fans probably don’t know that Coach L had to convince future 3x POY George Evans to come to Mason after Westhead was fired. Hewitt had to do the same with Edwards, Gray and Holloway. It’s the nature of the beast when any new coach is brought in.

Rhode Island transfer Fatts Russell says UCLA, Texas Tech, Auburn and Seton Hall have now reached out, in addition to the schools below.

Rhode Island transfer Fatts Russell tells ESPN he's heard from Oregon, Gonzaga, Michigan, Maryland, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State and Arizona State since entering the portal last night. First-team All-Atlantic 10 last season, third-team this season.

Should we give paulsen all the credit if they stay and we have a good year?
Do we have to keep them if they go in the portal and realize they don’t have a better option? Or could we say no thanks and recruit over them?
scholarships are year by year. So technically you could tell them they aren’t coming back.

Not trying to talk shit about the team but some of the players also won’t play to the level that the Coach is looking for.

Wow. Grady is a 2,000-point scorer at Davidson. He's one of the best players n the transfer portal right now. He probably wants to play at a P-5 and get into the the tournament next year.

Anyone have any info about our players that have entered the portal in terms of who they have received interest/offers from?
All Patriot league offers. Sans Kolek. Now they all wanna stay no matter who coaches.
Kolek said 50 schools reached out to him in a local news video. He’s in no rush. Nothing has come out on anyone else.

Hoping he can land somewhere he will see decent playing time. Seems like a great kid, just didn't have the game to compete at an A-10 level.
