For a trip down memory lane, it was 18 years ago today when senior JUCO transfer PG Tony Skinn had his most memorable defensive performance. On January 19, 2006, Tony Skinn set the Mason and CAA single game record of 9 steals in Mason's 74-63 victory vs. Northeastern at the Patriot Center.

I remember this game well. Barea had his hair gelled, as was the style at the time, so we chanted "hair gel" at him from the pep band. Constantly. We didn't let up. He had a terrible game. It was awesome.

Edit: if you saw 2,500 reading pdfs on a phone with every D1 school’s attendance can get confusing. 2,500 was Gardner-Webb’s average in 2005, which is the school alphabetically right before us.

Just got back from the Coaches Show. One very small observation. I love that Tony is focused on answering questions and has good eye contact when asked questions. Our previous coach spent most of the time looking down at his phone. We have an adult in charge.
