The sophomore from Queens, N.Y., has bounced back impressively in the past seven games, including Saturday’s 86-81 victory against Iona in which Moore had a career-high 23 points plus four rebounds, three assists, two steals and just one turnover in 36 minutes. During the seven-game stretch, he’s averaging 14 points, 2.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 50% from the floor.

“He’s a good player,” Hewitt said. “He works at it. He’s not a guy that wastes any time in the gym. He comes in the gym, does his form shooting right away, does all the things he’s got to do.”

We just need Marquise to develop his 3 point shot and we're good to go. Iona was playing off of him at the top of the arc as if he was Will Thomas.

As much as I want to be more excited about this victory I have to wonder if they can continue to win games that way. Will teams learn to pack the paint and not give such an easy path to the basket? What will the offense look like then?

Marquise had 4 FG's in the 71-67 Homecoming victory over UR on Saturday: a layup for the first score of the game & 3 FG's in overtime (2 layups & a jumper). As we know, Marquise has not fully recovered from an ankle injury incurred in the Wright State game.

i'm not sure I will miss Moore if he decides to leave. Not a huge fan of his game.

I would. Marquis' offense is continuing to grow. Hence his 15 footer jump shots and this 3 point shooting we saw at the end of the year. He's obviously working his a** off. He's one of the only players we have that can successfully attack the rim. Especially now that Corey is graduating, we need Marquise more than ever to run the point.

Marquise motherf**king Moore! Defense, physicality, ball handling, getting to the rack. Dude is a classic knuckles-and-teeth point guard. Like, he's not the best player in the world (or even on the team) but I LOVE guys like him. Guys that when you get done playing against him, you're going to have scratches all over you and be in a bad mood.
