Cause we keep getting guys with relatively average numbers which usually drop when moving up to a better conference. Best of luck to this guy, hope he's second coming for us, but enthusiasm will remain tapered until we poach an absolute stud.
I mean Quigley averaged almost 11 ppg as a freshman. Even if moving up to the A10 curtails the typical sophomore bump I would expect him to average similar numbers.
And if we can find that stud starter at the 4, like Jim mentioned, I think you’d take 10-11 ppg from your 4th scoring option.
To break it down by decent competition:
Charleston: 12 points (5-7 shooting), 4 rebounds, 2 assists (this is his first collegiate game)
Colorado: 11 points (4-8 shooting), 1 rebound, 1 assist
Hofstra: 6 points (2-8 shooting), 6 rebounds, 3 assists
St. Joes: 9 points (2-7 shooting), 2 rebounds, 4 assists
Another thing that’s good. He shot 77% from the free throw line on 122 attempts (so it’s not like he wasn’t getting to the line).
