AJ will also look a lot better in The summer bc he doesn’t have to fit into a scheme or style. Argument could be made in both directions for AJ not reaching potential and Paulsen not helping AJ reach potential and adjusting to fit AJs strengths.

AJ gets pulled because in real games his aggressiveness is not controlled and he gets out of position and good teams take advantage of that. If he can stay disciplined like at the beginning of last year then I’d agree he could be a game changer. If not he’ll see sporadic minutes again and we’ll seem more of ordoro than I think we’re all expecting.
If Oduro plays as a freshman I might as well turn in my season tix now

Kenner League is overrated... or at least we look into it way too much. Every year we get hype because a few of our players participate...they do well, we hype them up thinking we will have a good year and then as soon as the regular season starts they either can't stay on the floor or forget how to shoot or dribble.

Kenner League is like buying a lottery ticket: it's a GREAT thing, as long as you know what you're getting, awful if you're hoping for something that likely isn't there.

Kenner League is fun offseason stuff, and useful to see if a player has been developing a certain skill. If a guy is doing the same thing he's always done, but having more success than usual, that's probably a result of the competition and format.

IF, on the other hand, a wing known for driving is suddenly displaying a competent 3 point shot, or a big man has developed a reliable jump hook, that's something that might carry over into the regular season.

Mostly, though, it's fun to hear about Mason hoops players during a period in which all we have is baseball, tennis, soccer, and bike racing, aka the worst sports season of the year.

It's two sided. You have Anali Okologi and AJ beasting it up in Kenner but it doesn't show on the real court. When I saw MM at Kenner when he first came here the kid was a beast on the boards. I was impressed that he was going up against all the bigs for rebounds. That one def showed on court.

AJ has actually shown some stuff on the court, though, even if he hasn't been consistent. Okoloji was just a travesty.

I mean, it's not real. I like AJ, but until he shows he can do more than dunk, he's a dunker, not a basketball player.
Where’s the anger from everyone about Herndon being so negative about AJ. Some people say one bad word about any of our players and they need to leave the message boards and return their season tickets.

Also Herndon your basketball acumen comes from when they played with peach baskets. Game has evolved.

He is definitely capable of being more than a dunker. He has pretty good shooting mechanics. I remember his freshman season thinking if he could continue to develop his outside game he could become a terror, but it seems like Paulsen did not want him taking those shots last season at all.

He needs to play within himself more, try not to force things on offense and defense, and he’ll be a really good player for us, hopefully for two more seasons.

You're like a Spinal Tap amp. Everything is hyperbole to the 11 with you.

Nobody, literally nobody, has ever been told to leave the message boards and return their season tickets for saying one bad word about any player.

What has happened though is you constantly $hit on them by name from behind a screen name, even before they've put a jersey on and played a minute and it gets old. Really, really old. And people react to that and call you out - like I'm doing. And then you whine like a tweenage girl on instagram what blind homers everyone is.

That's what actually happens.

You want to know why many of us don't join in the chorus of negativity? Not because we're 100% satisfied w/the final product but because the trolls like you an DJ3 are already overdoing it and it would just be piling on.

I have told you before we can meet and discuss in person... but you don't actually go to games for that to happen. funny how the folks that are more pleased with the program are the ones that either live in the area and don't attend or live thousands of miles away. easier to be happy when you don't have to witness in person I guess

Do you only comment on home games? Or road games that are televised too?

Incidentally, you've now moved from Herdon w/this:

To me with this:
https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/special-pleading

both with a nice dollop of this:
https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/black-or-white

In less then 24 hours, you've gone from (falsely) crying about people wanting you to leave the boards because of "one bad word" to trying to invalidate my opinion on the team because I live out of state.

I'm sorry not sorry my city is better then yours and my taxes are much lower but I'm still allowed to be a fan.

Lol, I'm assuming you're talking with somebody I have on ignore.

My experience on this board has improved immeasurably since that feature was implemented. Once you realize "this person's foolishness isn't worth my time", your time ends up way more productively and happily spent :)

So only true, smart fans live in the area? Ok, got it.
