It would be nasty if we can get George The Patriot to ride in on a super loud chopper. Of coarse the lights would need to be dimmed so until that happens our game day experience is meh. And its documented re the video board.

What other suggestions do you all think would help enhance home court besides winning.

Sound
New announcer
New speakers
Diversify the Green Machine playlist

Bits
No more Apple Credit Union games (tic tac toe etc)
No more score 10 points in one minute to win free Hard Times wings
More giveaways (shirts, sunglasses, bobble heads, hats)

Visual
New scoreboard
Use the TVs for more than Ads and stats
Replays
New lighting, currently looks so depressing

Experience
Tailgating
More student section involvement, get the patriot platoon more in sync.
Ditch the stupid chants (shoot for 2,2,2 or 3, DDDD De-fence)
Commemorate more of our history. Display trophies, retire jerseys, pictures etc

Food
I'm sick of nacho's, pretzels, pizzas, we get it, junk food is synonymous with sports. Please put in some decent food options.
Sell some beer.

Product
More wins.

Theme nights such as honoring the 80s team that made the NCAA, have a costume contest for the person who dresses up "most 80s", and have the Green Machine play 80s songs

More "White outs, black outs type games. " Give out tshirts to reflect that theme so everyone has the same color.

Have the TVs offer replays.

Have a new song that the team comes out to besides Zombie Nation into the fight song.

Offer season ticket holders coupons for the concessions (might be easier said than done), but I'm sure they could include a few 50% off total order coupons in our ticket books.

Reward the season ticket holders who come to the most games (much like the Platoon) with some sort of incentive (coupons to get tickets at the PC for events, a pass for the garage for one weeknight game the following year)

WINNING is the ONLY thing that matters. The REST is BULLSH*T.

End that stupid cartoon thing where you "pick" which Mason character is going to win that race. It's so awkward and stupid to see the person standing at mid-court watching a TV. They're not engaged at all...at least with the "Patriot Shuffle" the crowd can be engaged while they follow the hats on the TV, the race is just dead air.

If they really want to keep it they should set up a deal with restaurants where if one of the characters wins people in X section get 25% off at Glory Days or Hard Times or something if Doc Nix wins, people in Y section get it if George Mason wins, people in Z section if the Patriot wins. Then at least people can root for something.

But as it stands now it's awkward, the crowd isn't into it and it just sorta becomes a buzzkill.

Also, any chance I can get a T-shirt that simply says "George Mason Basketball" on it. Every free t-shirt I get has a some dumb image on the front and the back has Jim Mckay Chevrolet, Paisano's pizza, Apple Credit Union, etc. I look like a walking billboard.

Unfortunately that's not likely because those sponsors pay for those shirts.

This entire thread serves as an example of what is wrong with Mason basketball. Fans are more worried about the "experience" and whether or not their kids get some nachos. T-shirts? You've got to be kidding me! I remember visiting Boston Garden back in the day. The floor was imperfect but the Celtics knew just where to lead their man to hit the dead spot that would lead to a turnover. The place was always 90 degrees giving the home team the advantage. The visiting locker room consisted of a dive with nails for opposing players to hang their stuff on. They worried about winning championships, we worry about the "fan experience" for 12 year olds because the product we put on the floor sucks. The sad thing is that only a handful of people will even understand what I am talking about.

Its obvious that winning cures all ills, but its nice there's a thread where we can talk about something other than when Hewitt is going to be fired or U of Miami basketball.

It might just be me, but the intro with the siren sucks unless the team runs out on time. Also i feel like they have the non band music too loud during down time.

You know why they did not care . . . . they won championship after championship after championship in The Garden. The owner could just tell the fans who wanted the extras to pound sand, and look in the rafters.

All we see are shitty speakers and beams where Jerseys should be hung.

Its interesting. Wake plays in a building almost as old as Pat Dome. 4 years younger, 4k seats bigger. But i will say pat dome is cleaner fresher. They do have a jumbotron with replays, but u can tell its built light due to weight.
