Refs have little to no effect on this game. We are just missing everything and are rattled by vcu's defense. Abrams just passed up a wide open 3 for no reason. We're playing decent D but we have no offense.

Zero points out of our starting frontcourt so far. Might help if we actually tried to get the ball to our big men instead of settling for jumpers. Our dribble penetration has been decent, but we always look to throw it back out rather than dumping it down low.
We're actually fortunate lucky to be down only 11 at the half. We can get back in this game if we can eliminate the unforced errors, stop their dribble penetration, and get Shevon sand Jenkins involved.

Look I agree we wouldn't be winning this game or that much closer, but anytime the refs are spectators, it's to vcu's advantage. Also, if you look around college basketball, the whistle has been blown more than ever. Apparently, these guys didn't get the memo.
Good point, fair enough. Did see 2 quick fouls called on the Rams starting the 2nd half though. Hopefully it'll balance out more.

Wow... we just blew five different opportunities to make some points. This game is supremely frustrating to listen to
Myles Tate might be small, but at least he also wears cement shoes.
I wouldn't say they don't care. I see alot of heart out there, they just don't have what it takes just yet to compete with top 4 A10 teams.
Lots of freshmen playing a good team in a hostile environment. Many are unforced but even that's to be expected to some extent. Frustrating but the reality of such a young team.
When your using a walk on to spell you r point guard, that tells everything you need to know about where we are right now.
Not sure if you're being serious, but the guys are playing hard. They're totally overmatched and not ready for this level of competition in a hostile environment.
Did the announcer just say that Paul Hewitt is a really good coach? WTF?
