Navy is currently 6 - 2 on the season.

Wins: UVA (77-57), Radford (47-33), Furman (77-66), Washington MD. (89-40), Mount St. Mary’s (67-40), William & Mary (75-56)
Losses: Va Tech (77-57), Louisville (77-60),

Schedule: https://navysports.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2021-22
Roster: https://navysports.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster
Stats: https://s3.amazonaws.com/navysports.com/documents/2021/11/27/07Statistics.pdf

Navy is led by 6’4” John Carter Jr. (14.3 ppg & 4.3 reb). 6’4” Greg Summers (8.4 ppg & 5.1 reb), 6’8” Daniel Deaver (7.7 ppg & 3.7 reb), 6’3” Sean Yoder (7.1 ppg), and 6’6”Tyler Nelson (7.1 ppg & 5.3 reb) round out the starting lineup for the Mids. 6’5” Jaylen Walker, 6’7” Richard Njoku, 6’2” Christian Silva, and 6’1” PJ Roach Jr. all play double digit minutes off the bench.

Former Mason walk on Lysander Rehnstrom should receive a warm welcome back to EBA. He is averaging about 5 minutes per game in the 5 games he has appeared in and is averaging 1.8 ppg. You have to respect him for representing us so well and then moving on to the Naval Academy. Well done young man!

Navy averages 66.1 points per game while giving up 55.9. The Midshipmen are shooting 47.4% from the floor and 29.2% from 3. Opponents are shooting 38.4% from the field and 26.8% from 3. They shoot 64.3% from the free throw line. The Mids are out rebounding by their opponents by 6.3 boards per game. They average 14.4 turnovers per game.

The game is on ESPN+.

My prediction: They have played some quality opponents thus far so this will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination. They are experienced! They are currently ranked #9 in points allowed per game in D1 basketball. I expect this to be a low scoring affair. Navy 55 - GMU 49. Some of my prediction is related to my frustration over the ODU debacle, but may also be mired in truth. We’re just no damn good! All the respect in the world for what the young men at the Naval Academy do.

Discuss.

Respect, indeed. I remember watching David Robinson play in the CAA tourney at W&M in '86ish. Served his country then became The Admiral.

Honestly the only thing I'm looking forward to about Tuesday is saying hey to Pete Medhurst, Navy athletics play by play guy.

LOL. Maybe just root for Mason and not boo Navy that night.

But I'm an Army Vet too, so also F 'em. It's a well known fact that the Navy is filled with hatchet-wielding alcoholic deviants and perverts who pose a risk to the more respectable segments of society.

Think of them as a boat full of @CHRISTOPHER JAMES JOLLAY's that also happen to play basketball.
Also an Army vet -- Quentin's post is fact and I won't be tolerating any alternative viewpoints on the boat boys this week.
