Game 1 was St. Louis.
Game 2 Dayton. Talent wise Dayton has dropped off a bit based on previous years.

Dayton goes from a Kenpom 90 to 98 with the shellacking that they got from (now #47, previously 50) vcu.

Kenpom projects the following A10 wins for the top half of the league:
17 SLU
14 vcu
12 Mason
11 St. Joe's
10 Davidson
9 Dayton, Duq, URI, GW

1) retires; or
2) resigns; or
3) is fired - soon

maybe courtesy lets him finish out the season, but i would not be surprised if one of the 3 occurs by Monday

Not surprising: we do play vcu and GW on the road (easily could be losses), SLU at home, which is not going to be a gimmie by any stretch, Dayton (which could be dangerous if we don’t take them seriously), and Richmond twice (who can get hot), not to mention the game today with a surging St. Joes.

It’s the toughest part of our schedule by far. Could see us losing even more than 4 of these. Hopefully we go 5-3 or better but with this team? Who knows.

It's not only possible but likely. It will be an upset if we beat vcu and GW on the road, and we will be underdogs against St. Louis at home. Managing a split against St. Joe's gets us to four losses, and that assumes we have no slip-ups at Richmond or at home against Dayton and St. Bonaventure.

I did forget Castro missed last game: if his injury is several weeks there’s a caveat about our ability to beat them on the road there. They still have their shooters but with their interior defense shredded we have an opening there. We play them next Friday.

Apparently, trying to find non-con games is so bad they had to fill their bye week with a non-D1 opponent (quote from Coach McKillop on their webpage).

And avoiding having to play SLU until the finals (although given it’ll mean having to play vcu in the semis, I don’t know what’s worse. We’ve never beaten vcu in a conference tournament game).

there are a few schools playing non-conference games in the midst of the last stretch of Conference games.

Locally, Yale plays Howard, tomorrow night. Both are in 8 team leagues which yields 14 conference games and a large OOC calendar to fill
