I disagree.

No shame in losing to a top team on their court--a team that more often than not is dominant.

GW had the opportunity to choke it away when they were down 7 with 6 minutes left, but they didn't. Many teams would have folded at that point with the crowd noise. Made it a one possession game 2 minutes later and I'm pretty sure had a 1 pt lead with 2+ minutes left in the game.

Caputo also may not have called a TO during the Billikens 15-0 run, I'm not remembering. But GW did get back in it as SLU took their foot off of the gas when it looked like they might blow them out.

It was a very good game.

It was a good game. The GW took a bunch of bad shots to let SLU back in the game.. GW can't close a game to save its life under Caputo..that's the mark of a bad team

URI about to beat Dayton their NET will drop so good for us as I pointed out Saturday. Still a solid Q2 loss…

Dayton now with 3 losses in a row with their next game AT SLU.

Meanwhile URI is now #102 Kenpom and St. Joe's, with a 20+ win at Loyola, has won 5 of their last 6 (and played rather well in a 7 pt loss at vcu) and is 5-3 fighting for a top 4 spot.

Teams in the middle of the league are dangerous and may well compete for a double-bye.

Yeah--SLU is fun to watch, unless you're rooting for the other team.
Hoping for the best for our Patriots, but the Billikins are as good as any team I've seen since we joined the A10.

The CBSSN TV guys, appropriately, did a comparison with the Dayton team that was in the top 5 nationally in the year that the NCAA tournament was cancelled by Covid. Those Flyers played at EBA late in the season and we were competitive (tied with 10 min left, but lost by 7). Fingers crossed--hoping we can pull a huge upset in the last regular season game.

I think you mean Lo-Chi, but yeah what's going on down in Richmond? I heard the whole city is an ice block and some vcu grad can't figure out how to dispatch plow trucks and drop sand on the ground. Also the water is out again, so poo is flowing through their icy streets. Hard to get game ready with that much dysfunction around you.

vcu not in any danger of losing this game now. Seems like Loyola can play well for somewhere between 18-25 minutes every game and then they just collapse.

Yeah---Avila played almost a minor role in this one (27 min, 7 pts, 4 rebounds, 4 assists) while Green and Sharma were 7-10 and 6-8, respectively, from 3. Is Billips available to come back for a game?
