MIAMI UPDATE

Also methadone clinics, illegal Chinatown gambling halls/ unlicensed massage parlors, Radio Shack stores and anywhere else depressed degenerates congregate.

UPDATE: Jollay's Been Found!

He's in a safe place now but is in a bit of trouble. According the GMU police blotter he was roaming around SUB1 of all places, holding a half-empty bottle of El Toro tequila with Walgreen's brand cough syrup stains down the front of a dirty, ripped 2006 Final Four t-shirt. He was accosting random co-eds demanding that they tell him where something called a "Greek File Room" had been moved as he needed to share the truth about "that F'n Cuban Larry Nayga who stole his only remaining virginity spot and ruined his life."

Not a good look I'm afraid. Miami's success appears to have finally broken what was a tenuous grasp on reality and sobriety. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

I get the Coach L hate (both the tongue-in-cheek and the serious), but I just can't root against him. I hope he wins at least one more game (maybe even 2), and retires. Leave on a high note. I hope Chris takes over for him, and continues to be successful.

Both Mason and Miami have the bulk of their success under him. Mason has almost no basketball pedigree without him, and Miami's success other than Coach L was ancient history. I will always wonder what he could have done at a blue blood program, and will always be grateful for the fact that less than 50 living people would know "George Mason Basketball" without him

Gotta love Coach L. Without Coach L Mason basketball would have been something I did for fun during college and then moved on to other things after I graduated. Coach L made it something that I'll follow for the rest of my life, through the ups and the downs.

Given the number of downs recently, maybe I actually hate Coach L for getting me hooked on something that Paul Hewitt would take over...

Apparently, it did not end there. Jollay made his way to Miami and continued lashing out at everything related to nuestro dios Larrañaga.

"Miami got back to its roots
Jim Larranaga first put the Hurricanes on the national map about a decade ago by blending quality transfers with solid high school recruits. Miami then got away from that formula by recruiting higher profile prospects like Bruce Brown and Lonnie Walker. The Hurricanes have since returned to their roots. This program has advanced to the Sweet 16 three times under Larranaga — 2013, 2016, and 2022. The one common theme in all of those runs? At least two of Miami’s top four scorers in each of those three seasons were transfers. Three of the Hurricanes’ top four scorers this year — Kameron McGusty, Charlie Moore, and Jordan Miller — did not begin their college careers with the Hurricanes."

Hey guys.

This has been a trying time for me, I want to thank those of you that have reached out.

Miami has to be stopped. I would prefer a healthy Wisconsin would have done it, but now it has to be Iowa St. The race hustler Larranaga must not be allowed to advance.

Do you know how it feels to hate something with all your being only to see it flourish?

I do.

And it hurts. Alot.

When you nourish something with hate and malice and spite for almost a decade, and it starts to flourish in spite of you....well, it's a feeling I hope you all never experience.

I have been something of the successful drunken gambler of late betting dogs. I'm putting everything on the line tonight--go Iowa St ML and also take the under.

If enough of us place anti-Miami bets, with malice, I think that should be enough to stop L.

I have been drinking consistently since Wednesday on a ski trip in Wets Virginia. Reception is very spotty--I fear I will not be able to provide commentary on the action. Just know that I have EVERYTHING riding on tonight's game.

You all know me as a man of my word. I guarantee an Iowa St. win tonight. I urge you to put ALL your money on Fred Hoiberg and the Cyclones. (also on the under)

Let us all revel in Miami's failure tomorrow morning.

Love,

Christopher

While admitting to some mixed emotions with regards to his departure from Mason, it wouldn't break my heart to see him become the first to take 2 schools to the Elite 8! Plus it would be nice for Jordan Miller to have that experience.

Welp, Miami looks as good as anybody left. Be interested to see what the line against Kansas is.
