Hate ....

Why do people who are not deep southerners use "y'all" now? Even news articles do on the Internet now in headlines.

f**ked up. Hate those people almost as much as the people who use "bro" to my face.

I legitimately hate them most of the time. I can deal with a happy "what's up bro" every now and then but everyone else I legitimately despise.

f**k you.

I hate that you don't realize that y'all is simply good English, and is a direct result of the loss of the t/v distinction in English prior to 1600, and the necessity of distinguishing between second person plural and singular.

IF WE STILL USED THOU, THIS WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM, PEOPLE.

Cool info bro, but y'all is still completely unnecessary in headlines, or when your audience is already implied.

Like in social media posts...

f**king idiot hipsters.

I hate that we haven't tried to bring back fancy early modern English like Thee/Thou or two and twenty.

I don’t hate that the gmu band, the green machine, has a chance to play at the World Series, if it goes to five games.

I hate that we have to send the Green Machine to such a huge event with those uniforms. Maybe we need to take a third pay game next year and funnel some of that $ to buy some new uniforms. They are the face of the university these days. They should be given appropriate attire
