Who's your Daddy?!?! - Welcome Bahaide Haidara

We shall see, but his film looks good. Smooth handle for a guy his size, and obvious size and athleticism. Seems like his floor is rich man's aj wilson, which is a useful piece.

This class seems to have three useful pieces at very least:
1. Long, bouncy defender who can attack the rim off the bounce
2. PG with good size
3. Big with soft hands and the ability to knock down the elbow jumper (aka the zone killer)

If that's all they ever become, that's useful. If they develop, that's really good

If you look at the rankings of the top Canadian players (I've seen him listed #12), many of the top guys are going to Power 5 schools - so there is a lot of talent in Canada. I just don't know what the talent is like in his specific area.

No. 12 in Canada is pretty damn good. Can’t believe this kid had no other offers.

And there lies the big question. I did see he he was all conference (which we would expect), but also an academic conference award winner - so he's got good grades. I was wondering if that might have been the reason for lack of offers - it's not.

enough is enough dude..

"his floor is rich man's AJ Wilson"...

the same dude you are disrespecting is Paulsen's second highest rated recruit.. one that had offers to Penn St and other schools.

This guy who's floor is rich man's AJ Wilson had a scholarship offer to the University of Maine.... the worst D1 program of the past ten years and that is all..... please sit down

Maybe if our coaches had a clue what they were doing coaching AJ Wilson he wouldn't be so sporadic and confusing on the court...

I believe you called me a big meany when I discussed how horrible Reuter was. Do us all a favor and take your own advice when you feel the need to be so disrespectful to AJ

These are just Canadians in general I think... Half of these kids don't currently play in Canada right!?

Mmmm, not exactly.

I said you didn't know what you were talking about, not that you were a meany. That's still true.

That said, this post sums up our difference.

You seem to believe that the most important part of playing basketball is being athletic. AJ Wilson is CLEARLY athletic. I believe that "being good at basketball" is the most important part of playing basketball, and AJ is not as much of that right now.

I couldn't care any less about AJ's offers to Penn State and other schools. Right now, he's not a very good college basketball player. He's athletic and that's it. Right now, it appears that Daddy brings the same things to the table that AJ does (being 6'7 and athletic), and a some that he doesn't (ball handling, to be specific).

Is this based on highlight films? Yes. Does EVERYBODY look good on highlight films? Yes.

That said, I have NEVER seen AJ demonstrate the ball handling (either on film or in game) skills that Daddy shows in his highlight videos, so I have no reason to believe they exist.

It should be noted, I like AJ Wilson. The kid plays HARD when he's out there. Nothing would make me happier then for him to develop this offseason and make an a** out of me.

I'm rooting for myself to look like a moron a year from now.

We'll, this sucks! Unless someone transfers, we have nothing to talk about during the spring late signing period. It's just gonna be more griping at our current roster, DP, the administration, and each other. :fistpunch: :super angry:  :middlefinger:

Oh... and... WELCOME BIG DADDY!!
