Thanks Raider, that happens when a post is posted automatically, rather than a human pulling the trigger. We'll get it fixed.

That's because the automated stories from GoMason don't have a photo with them.

Edit: Didn't see the last post before this one.

Looks like I had to recreate my account. Odd, it worked 2 weeks ago and this morning I no longer existed...oh well back on now

That's because we couldn't migrate posts, so everyone had to create new accounts.

How do I stop getting emails when someone replies to a thread I'm "watching?" I've turned off all my alerts in the preferences and am still getting spammed with emails.

You might have to go to the individual threads and click "Stop Watching"... then re-click watch and make sure the option to send emails is not selected.

Yeah, you'll have to turn off the watch thread subscribe on reply default option. Then turn off the email on replies to watched threads default option. Then blow away all your watched threads in your profile options.

That's confusing just reading it back to myself..

Scythe, I finally starting unwatching every thread to avoid tons of emails coming into my computer, laptop and iPhone, but for some reason I've had to unwatch the Diamondhead Classic thread about 10 times.

I just modified your profile and changed:
Code:
Watch threads when creating or replying: Yes, with Email
to
Code:
Watch threads when creating or replying: No

If you go through and blow away any subscriptions you have, you should be all set.

Thanks, Scythe. When it refers to Alerts, is that an email or is it the notifications that appear in flag in the upper right corner? I don't mind those, I just need to eliminate all of the emails.

I had the same problem as Tom, but this reply gave me the clue I needed to finally get rid of the emails. I hope it works this time.

Thanks, Scythe. When it refers to Alerts, is that an email or is it the notifications that appear in flag in the upper right corner? I don't mind those, I just need to eliminate all of the emails.

Alerts are the little flag indicators that says someone replied/quoted/etc on the main forum index page. By default, most folks don't typically want to automatically watch a thread they're active in since they'll receive a ton of pop ups that says someone replied to it -- even though you should already know that if you're looking at the index by using the icons next to the thread which says if there are replies or not.

By default, this is off, but you must've registered before I made the change default for new accounts. Your preference was set to alert to any reply, and also email the alert. So I just turned it off all together. If you want the alert on replies to threads you're active in but no email, there's an option for that as well.

Just a heads up, there will be a bit of downtime tonight or tomorrow night as I apply the latest xenforo message board update to the newest version. Should take less than 15 mins.

Done, sorry for the interruptions -- this was a maintenance release update. Next big update includes new smiley management ;)

As a Christmas gift, say hello to more smilies. :monopolyguy:

They sadly don't map to Tapatalk however.

Xenforo updated to the new version, and Tapatalk has been upgraded with new APIs. Sorry for the 10 mins of downtime :)

EDIT: ...and MySQL too. Now all should be well.
