How is Storm a nut?

Is it because he stated his opinion on a personal twitter account about something factual that affects him?

How has he demonstrated the exact opposite of what is to be expected of a Mason student?

Isn't he allowed to have his own opinion about something that affects him and state it on a personal twitter account?

Are all Mason students required to succumb to the University's image keeping rhetoric and not have their own opinions, especially those based on fact?

Storm's a nut not simply because he has all these crazy, outdated views on race, but also because he lacks the judgement to know that saying those kinds of things is not acceptable in the present day. A Mason student should surely have a better understanding of the world than that.

About that Twitter account: it may be his personally, but he is closely associated with the university. This hullabaloo would not be as strong if he didn't hold office in student government. He has every right to have an opinion, but when he refers to a group of people as "illegals" and another group as "monkeys", he has no business to continue to pretend to represent the exceptionally diverse Mason student body.

I saw two tweets that referred to illegal immigrants and questioning why they get cheaper tuition. Is there more?

What is the context of the tweet?

Referring to the protests as monkey business is different than actually calling people monkeys.

I assume you do know the common term monkey business, but just for the sake of it, here is a little clarification:

The question is would he want to come back here and and would Miami let him out of his contract. Then there's the revelation that he's now Cuban, which we didn't realize the first time we hired him. Not an easy call.
