Previewing the Manhattan Jaspers

Following a disappointing trip to Puerto Rico, George Mason returns home on Saturday to host Manhattan at 4pm. The Jaspers, picked third in the MAAC preseason poll, enter Saturday with a 1-3 record, including losses at UMass in overtime and to Northeastern on a neutral court by 14 points.

As Mason prepares for one of the biggest out-of-conference home games of the season, I asked Jaden Daly, founder of New York City-based A Daly Dose of Hoops, to answer a few questions about the Jaspers.

I don't blame the student section. They need to be given a reason to chant . They're not going to chant just for the sake of chanting.

Jon Severe is clearly frustrated that he plays his butt off and still loses all the time with his team. The guy is transferring for sure.

He has a major attitude problem, isn't a team player, doesn't play defense and just wants to chuck up shots whenever it pleases him.

There's a reason why a kid with his scoring ability signed with a dogcrap program like Fordham in the first place.

They'll be better off without him.
