Hewitt, in an effort to take advantage of his height advantage inside, decides it might be better to go balls deep with a "5-out" offense against Davidson.

The modified offense works to perfection, as Thompson, Marko and Jenkins dominate the mildly surprised Davidson defense on the perimeter. Davidson guards work so hard on defense that they miss every open three they get (37) and Mason cruises.

Looking at their record, they are currently losers of eight out of nine games. Competitive scores, in most, appear to demonstrate that the players have not quit on their season or coach. And we needed a miracle finish on their court. I expect the Patriots to come to the Arener angry. Go 'Cats.
