Broken foot for BOC sucks, he was poised for a big year and didn’t even make it through the first game. Now just hoping to be healthy by January.

At the same time, his absence (and that of Hill) has given Long and Presley an opportunity to play extended minutes and they’re both making the most of it. Anyone who says they had Long scoring 22 points in any game this season is a damn liar lol. He’s been a revelation.

Turns out this staff really recruited the hell out of the backcourt last offseason. The depth is paying off now and if we can ever get to full strength, we’re gonna be a major problem for the A-10 with Mincy, BOC, Long, Troutman, Hill and Presley coming at opponents in waves.
I’m confused. Where did the rumor come from that he broke his foot. I saw the tweet, but who is that guy?
CTS said in the post game presser, that he’s fine and told him to take the night off and hopefully will be back soon.

Although the attendence tally from this game was a hair below 3k, the atmosphere seemed electric at times. Student were definitely better engaged. The DJ and crew helped rev up the students. Plus, a game like this will likely get those students to come back for more. Baby steps, folks... baby steps
Agreed. I hope the student section last night becomes the norm at the very least.

He was working press for the game (believe for A10 Talk), said the school gave the press this update prior to last night’s game.

Bill said on the broadcast Brayden had surgery on his foot. Trout is the one who’s day to day.

Mincy has been lights out offensively, but Tony made a small comment about him needing to tighten up defensively. I’m excited about him and looking forward to seeing how he performs against bigger, more physical guards, which he’s going to see way more of in conference play.

I know its a small sample but

He put it 28, 14 and 27 points vs NC state, Miami and South Carolina last year.

During the Winthrop post game press conference, Tony mentioned that Kory and Jahiri were the Tahoes/Sierras of the team, but the guys we're missing (Brayden, Fats, & Troutman) were Corvettes. Somehow, I'm not following the metaphors. Could someone explain to me what Tony was trying to convey?

Clearly to me at least, he's not referring to speed as I would be more inclined to see Kory and Jahiri as Corvettes in that context.

Most likely referring to their athleticism — Hill is a freakazoid leaper and both BOC and Trout are both above-average athletes for their position.

Regardless, it is a terrific all-around group with skill sets that complement each other well. The biggest challenge will be finding playing time for all of them if all five are healthy at the same time.

I assumed it was related specifically to quickness (what Tony likes to call fast twitch). We are missing our three quickest guards. So in addition to just being shorthanded (whats supposed to be a 9-man rotation going down to basically a 7-man rotation—luckily Booker and Sivka have been able to contribute so far).

Hmm.....I guess I haven't seen Troutman and Hill enough to appreciate that they would be categorically quicker than Mincy and Long. So much the better if they are! Kory and Jahiri have carried the team the last 2 games but it would be nice to give them a bit more relief than we've been able to so far.

None of those dudes are quicker than Mincy lol
