So I guess we root for the East Regional and replicate our Final Four Run at Capital One Arena (formerly Verizon Center)! Getting a little ahead of ourselves!

GIVING DAY 2023
Their fans have stopped showing up. Was a ghost town against Davidson last week.

I am significantly less concerned about laying an egg if a bunch of their dudes are still out and they have to rely on players to give 15 minutes a night who were expected to give at most two. Getting dominated by Davidson at home was the bad sign for them imo, the momentum from the win they had against Rhody and the hot start against Dayton is gone.

Please still play hard though. Please.
It’s been Christmas break for them, not sure if schools back though but I wouldn’t judge their attendance just quite yet.

Certainly, a more realistic attitude! But some of the joys of being a fan is to let our imaginations create dream scenarios when we're coming off a big win against a long-term rival!
Oh I understand. I thought we deserved a spot last year and we all saw what happened. 15-3 first place finish, advance to the title game and got hosed in favor of bottom SEC teams who proceeded to lose in the first round. FULLY expecting the Power 5 to get more in than they deserve again this year. I'm just being cautious and anticipating another hose job because I know what the committee is likely to do. That reality hasn't dampened my love of our team or reduced my celebrating the success so far.

The league is good this year and deserves multiple bids. My 2 cents.

"• Since the start of the 2024-25 season, George Mason leads the A-10 and ranks t-8th nationally in total wins (43).

• George Mason is 21-3 (.875) in its last 24 A-10 games dating back to the 2023-24 campaign."

"• Allenspach is averaging a team-high 14.8 points in league play and shooting 65.8 percent, while Hill is averaging 7.3 free throws made/game in A-10 contests.

• Two-time A-10 Player of the Week Kory Mincy ranks second in the A-10 in scoring (16.9 ppg), third in assist/turnover ratio (2.44), eighth in 3pt FGM/game (2.29) and ninth in assists per contest (3.6). He is 15th nationally in FT percentage (.920).

• Mincy is 20 points away from 1,000 for his career.

• Mincy (3rd) and Jahari Long (7th) both rank in the A-10 top-10 in assist/turnover ratio. Against vcu, the dynamic duo combined for 10 assists and just one turnover in the victory.

• The Patriots lead the A-10 and are 38th nationally in fewest turnovers/game (10.2) and have averaged just 8.4 over the past 11 contests.

• GMU shot 40.9 percent (79-193) from 3pt range over the first 10 games of the season, but the Patriots are at just 25.7 percent (27-105) over the past seven contests. During that seven-game stretch, George Mason is 157-270 (.581) from inside the arc.

• The Patriots are one of the most balanced teams in college basketball. Over the season's 17 games, eight different Patriots have led the team in scoring, and nine players average at least 10 minutes.

• Skinn, the 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year, sports an overall win percentage of .741 (63-22) and is at 70.0 percent (28-12) in A-10 games over his first three seasons."

LOL - You don't seriously think that the NCAA selection committee would ever allow GMU to play there in the tournament again.

Currently 9.5 point favorites. If we play half as good as we did against vcu this should be a blowout. Attack Rubin and put em to bed early. I'd like to see another big game from Kanga or Ellington here.

"Rubin's block total is up to 43, ranking 8th in the country and first in the A-10. His blocks per game average (2.53) ranks 14th in the nation and first in the A-10. Rubin has recorded two or more blocks in 13 of Loyola's 15 games this season."
