The Terriers were picked to finish 9th out of the 10 teams in preseason polls.

The program has been in the news of late due to their head coach Dwight Perry being fired and players being declared ineligible but then being reinstated.

Team Stats:
Last season the Terriers averaged 74.9 points per game while giving up 70.0.

They shot 45.2% from the floor and 34.3% from 3.
Opponents shot 43.6% from the field and 33.9% from 3.

The Terriers shot 66.0% from the free throw line.

They out-rebounded opponents by an average of 7.5 boards per game and averaged 10.9 turnovers per contest.

Thoughts: It’s interesting that 2 of their transfers, Cayden Vasko (Central Michigan) and Callum Richard (ECU) were on the teams that gave us our worst OOC losses last year. Vasko (Central Michigan) had 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists against us in 34 minutes of action. Richard (ECU) did not play against us.

With 4 freshman and 6 returning players who contributed very little last year it looks like any success they have this year will be due to the transfers. Their three statistical leaders Rigsbee (D2), Alessandro Perotti (Junior College), and Stirling (Junior College) are all making the jump to D1.

On paper this should be a 10+ point win.

Discuss.
