"Dwight Perry, who was
dismissed as the head men’s basketball coach at Wofford back on September 12th, has issued his first public statement since his release:
Perry and associate head coach Tysor Anderson were let go following controversy over on-campus dining cards – a seemingly minor violation.
Perry took over as the Terrier’s interim head coach back in December 2022, and was elevated to the full-time position following that season. He went 48-43 (.527) during his tenure, including a 19-16 campaign last season.
Today, Wofford alum Kevin Giltner, who had been serving as an assistant at Virginia Tech, was
officially named as the Terriers new head basketball coach.
