Bevins has chosen GW, but we were not in on him in the end- this came down to the two DC schools and Iona to my understanding.

We only have one scholarship not spoken for in the 2024 class (for now) and hopefully Lewis Walker will be taking it.

We want a 3/4 over another guard at this moment it feels... seems like Lew Walker and Kam Williams are the big two targets there

You can only have so many guards on a 13-player roster (unless your name is Jay Wright). Barring transfers, next season we already will have at the two guard spots:

Polite
Okojie
Dinkins
Maddux
Billups
Begg

And that’s not even including Hall and Ball, both of whom technically are listed as guards.

Maybe Bevins turns out to be a star in college, but he was clearly behind Okojie and Begg in our staff’s evaluations.

Sucks for a kid who sets a time to announce his decision, then his chosen school takes another player and no longer has a scholarship available.

Hopefully it ends up working to Mason’s advantage because Diggs would do very well in the A-10.

Yeah pretty sure by the time Tony got the job Diggs had already zeroed in on Iowa. Will be interesting to see if the current staff can convince him to come to Fairfax.

Coach Curran re-offered in April when he was watching Bevins (Diggs and Bevins both played for New World). As far as the priority list for 2024 goes, Lewis Walker now has some competition at the top. The staff really wanted to make a DMV splash in the 24 class, and they've been given new life now. All hands on deck.

Aha- With Bevins off the board to GW, I have to think they won't pursue Diggs since hes most likely the same type of player/position. Hopefully we can get Diggs to stay home.
