Tomorrow night, the Mason women’s hoops team heads to State College to take on Penn State in the WBIT.
This is the fourth matchup between these two programs all-time and first since 2019.
That matchup in 2019 had the Patriots come away with a 78-68 victory in State College. Who was the leading scorer for Mason that night?

Answer: Nicole Cardaño-Hillary.
The junior guard poured in 41 points back in 2019 to lead Mason to its first Power 5 victory since 2014.

Way to see all the points in less than 15 min!
Tough to lose a double digit lead in the 4th qtr., though. Suarez and Walton really had excellent offensive games, but Owusu was a real force and nearly impossible to stop.
#1 seeds post season rarely get pushed to the limit at home, especially in wbb.

Noticed that Kennedy Harris wasn't in the box score. Have to believe that if fully healthy, in the last 2 games things would have turned out differently and even more positvely.

Great job by all!

Update-WBIT brackets so far.
Note: St. Joe's, which was only one better than Mason in the NET before the WBIT has won 2 games so far and will play Villanova in the quarterfinals.
Penn St. plays tomorrow vs Belmont to determine a quarterfinal qualifier.
