Not sure how it compares to other years, but I enjoyed this year's madness. So, no other news from Madness? Anyone know how well it was attended? This was the first one I have missed in years.
Would be great if they could learn some new songs and not keep to the hits they have. When did they last add something new into the rotation?and i would have preferred the Green Machine playing longer and featuring their new songs
This is why I'm actually excited about the DJ being more involved during games. I love Doc and the Green Machine but after so many years going to games, its the same songs over and over and over.Would be great if they could learn some new songs and not keep to the hits they have. Brayden has been shooting it well. That's one area we will be exposed at this year is our 3 point shooting. We don't really have a 3-point specialist who is labeled a deep 3 threat and can knock them down.
A few of our guards 3 point career percentages:
O'Connor - 36.1%
Mincy - 36%
Long - 35%
Troutman - 34.5%
Hill (at Ball State) - 23%
Presley (at Vandy) - 12.5%
Devin Booker seems to be able to stroke the 3 and be a legit 3-point threat, but we'll see how many minutes he can get this year being a freshman.
35% or better from 3 is pretty damn good in college. That's one area we will be exposed at this year is our 3 point shooting. We don't really have a 3-point specialist who is labeled a deep 3 threat and can knock them down.

I also think we are better situated this year with more 3pt threats than last year's roster.35% or better from 3 is pretty damn good in college.
You listed four on this year’s team (rounding up for Troutman) and Allenspach has to be guarded out behind the arc too, which is pretty rare for a 6-11 center.
I’m reasonably sure last year’s team only had three guys who were at or above 35% for their career: Maddox, Anderson and BOC.
I’d bet my next paycheck that we won’t be changing our defensive schemes significantly.IF we use all the guys and press more instead of playing that soft drop coverage in the full court, then maybe we wont need to hit alot of 3's. I don't know how long we are, but we were looong last year, so I doubt Skinn will turn up the heat on traps and press. We will...errrr, should be better at scoring this year. Actually, I don't anyone on the team sans Stav and BOC so who the F knows.
Why fix what ain’t broken?I’d bet my next paycheck that we won’t be changing our defensive schemes significantly.
Exactly, we had one of the best defenses in the country last year. Changing that system up would be borderline negligent. Why fix what ain’t broken?
Bc the players from last year are all gone. The new guys look a little faster, imo.Why fix what ain’t broken?
