Guess we’ll find out how easy it is to get a waiver? This is his second time transferring.

There’s probably a laundry list of reasons he could sell the NCAA on, being a local kid from Maryland.

Well this makes it official: barring injury the 2023-24 Patriots are already more talented than they would’ve been had KE stayed. Tony and the staff are putting in work and getting shit done!
Took the words out of my mouth. I was going to do a wait and see, but Tony’s got Skinn in the game and he’s showing it. I’ll donate some money today and look for proper AD moves before I donate more.

It’s awesome to be a patriot these days.

Like what I see out of Newton, looks like we are bringing another Maryland kid home.

-Another big guard who is going to slip into that 3/4 spot and help defend the wing but also probably will help inside as well
-I know its highlights but I liked the range he showed from deep as well as getting after it on the glass
-another former 4 star recruit, top 100 kid
-His stats from his previous stops aren't the sexiest (62% from the line, 28% from deep) but perhaps a step down from the Big12 will do him well on the offensive side of the ball. Even if he is more of a "role player" that should do us plenty good.
-Apparently when he signed with Syracuse back in 2020, he was known as an elite defender. Hopefully he can really help us on that side.
-Its obvious that previous relationships that Tony had and probably Lamar, helped get this kid to commit. Very good.

Just some initial thoughts that I had.

This one is a Lamar special. Already paying dividends.

According to one of the Cuse beat writers, Newton's father recently passed away. His waiver should be close to a slam dunk.
