NO IDEA IF THERE IS SMOKE TO THIS BUT WORTH MENTIONING

But Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso who is a former top 40 kid and played at Putnam Science Academy is leaving Kentucky. Obviously line up for this kid and I doubt we have a prayer.

That said, he had a Seton Hall offer, and perhaps Curran knows him too. So maybe theres a .0001% chance.

What an insane coup this would be.... and in addition to the possible in-roads you mention here, can I also point out what i saw on 247 and highlighted below....

Cannot be underrated how great of a get this would be. As a lifelong Hokie fan thanks to my Dad, I've always kept an eye on them. Maddox would be an awesome get if he drops down and unless he gets hurt, he should be an immediate double digits point getter in the A-10
Same here, watched them and him nonstop over the past two years.

This would be a HUGE get.... would be the best player on our team from Day 1. Pure Shooter.... can hit from anywhere on the court but really strokes the 3 ball very, very well. In the A-10 he can put up 20 points a night. This guy can start at any major P5. He can drive and defend... has a pretty quick first step. Can be a little selfish as he wants the ball a lot (as most great shooters do). He got buried under VT's ACC team as they were stacked with guards 2 years ago and this year he had a chance to start and played well - still didn't get a ton of looks as their offense ran through Catoor and then their front court a lot.

He missed the last part of VT's season and it really didn't come out until a month or so ago that he had family health problems back home so he went back to handle that and then told VT he would most likely be coming back and then all of a sudden hopped in the transfer portal.

Pretty sure he wants to play closer to home and will want a program to understand his needs around being closer to family.

If we can get this guy we will be back in business!
