do the transfer rules apply if he graduates with a Mason Degree and is a Grad Transfer?

I'm going off Tweeder's statement above that another transfer for Ticket would be his third one. Was that a correct statement? Has Ticket already transferred twice? I could go look uo this stuff, but why bother when someone here already knows. I'm too lazy today.
He's transferred once already.... not transferring again.

Like I said.... he's staying or going overseas to get paid.

I am happy with the CKE hire. After Hewitt and DP - if you surveyed the landscape it was the right move.
He is only in his second season and I do see improvement. As a young Coach - I am not expecting him to turn it around in 2 seasons. I think we should keep him - bump his pay now and then extend next season if we see continued improvement. He is a great ambassador for the program as well and leader that represents Mason well.

No second thoughts from my end on his hire at all.

If Josh stays in school, leaving Mason for one year in a new system with new coaches and new teammates would be about the dumbest thing he could do.

Still think he’s gonna go pro, but I’ll be absolutely gobsmacked if he winds up in the portal.
Why would transferring to a P5 or P6 team necessarily be a dumb move for Josh? Selfishly, I'd like him to return to Fairfax for one more year, but if he has designs on leaving it may be because he'd like to show what he can do when not being double and triple-teamed every game.

As you point out, he's obviously comfortable here and knows the coaches, system, and players, but plenty of guys in his position and standing go through the same calculus and decide to transfer up the food chain. It's a bet on himself (and not one without downside risk), but if it works out it likely means a lot more money for Josh than what he'd get finishing his career in the A10. A lot obviously depends on what makes him happy, how ambitious he is, etc.

My guess is he is playing in Europe next year.

He’s just been named first-team all-A10 for the second consecutive season. He plays for a staff that knows his game better than anyone and will run the offense through him. He’s part of a very close group of players who function well as a team.

In this case, can’t see how it’s worth the risk of leaving the known to chase an unknown.

Twitter: Boston College is working on an extension for Earl Grant.

BC won 9 ACC games this season, its most since 2011.

They want to sign a long-term deal so Grant isn’t enticed by any potential openings this cycle.

This is the right way to do it. Hopefully Mason is doing the same thing for Kim.

Maybe we should give English an automatic seven year rollover contract. He is on the verge of winning his first quarterfinal conference tournament game.

Shall we revisit this thread?

The worst part about KE leaving is that the roster is probably in a worse spot now than when he arrived. The athletic department too.

I'm not saying he couldn't've been good here, but I don't think anyone can say we wouldn't've been better off hiring someone else in hindsight.

I said no.

1- saying "need more time to tell" felt like the easy way out.

2- and this is a big reason why I said no - opportunity cost. Hiring KE means we missed out on other options that are having more success elsewhere or that I'd rather see knowing how these two years have gone.

3- KE said something in the off-season to the effect of "we just didn't have the talent/depth last year" believing that he had fixed that. Either he was wrong and the problem isn't talent or he didn't correctly evaluate his roster. I don't think KE has done a good job of evaluating himself and the staff around him.

4- I don't buy into the "player-led program" and not "coach-led program" philosophy.

5- I am underwhelmed at the player development under this staff. Josh made a big leap in the first year. Ronnie and Malik have made some strides in year two. Other than that, I don't see much improvement going on. These are now Kim's guys or guys he has specifically chosen to retain, so he doesn't get a pass from me if they don't develop.

6- Another big reason - The team does not seem to be playing hard under this staff.

He's done a lot right that makes it feel like we could be a legit A-10 program with the increased visibility and media the team puts out. I hope to change my opinion and say yes again soon. But for now, I can't.
Reminding myself of how I felt when I wrote this. I'm less bitter. I hope Skinn's (or whomever's) players are hard-nosed sons of b*tches.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I want to feel like a Fordham or La Salle fan in a year from now - those teams didn't take any sh*t from anyone or any plays off. Those programs can't be any more desirable to coach and play for than us. The right coach can make this work.

Tony busted a guy in the nuts. Pretty scrappy, I'd say.
