idk much about women's bball.. but is Mason really that bad that they have to go to Howard and University of Missouri KC (Danny Dixon's pretty much D2 college) ?

The team is slated to be pretty good...maybe middle of the pack this year. The UMKC trip is probably to give Jacy Bolton a game close to home since she's from that area.

Cardano-Hillary just dropped 37! on GW, no other Mason player made more than 2 baskets, and only 2 other players took more than 3 shots.

Feed the hot hand! Normally she's a very streaky, low percentage shooter. She shot lights out yesterday (14-23 overall and 5-8 from 3) AND almost had a double-double with 9 rebounds. Not bad for a 5'7" guard.

Win against St. Joe's yesterday.

Mason is currently in seventh place in the A-10 and owns the tiebreakers against the teams in eight place – St. Joe's and George Washington – so they can do no worse than the seventh seed. The No. 3-8 seeds host first-round games. Mason's opponent will be determined after this weekend's final regular-season games.

The win also guaranteed the Patriots their second straight winning season, something they haven't accomplished since the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. The 40 wins over the last two seasons are also the most wins in a two-year span in program history, eclipsing the previous mark of 39 between the 1987-88 and 1988-89 seasons.
