I’m wondering how HS prospects costs in comparison to transfers?

I would think younger, less developed, not proven high school players would be cheaper?

AJ Dybantsa is the No. 1 HS player in the country and he’s rumored to have a $7M deal with BYU, so … not cheap lol.

2025 Nyk Lewis(top 60 4*) decommitted from Iowa and committed to vcu for 375k.

That's alot of money to bet on player whose never played D1 ball and will probably be gone next March.

Skinn is acquiring proven players..it's the safer bet.

the top 20 seniors are getting big bucks. Limited development of incoming freshmen due to free agency so they are not worth the cost. I believe we are just about at the point to have a 10 man rotation plus 5 practice players who keep the team GPA high in exchange for scholarships.

A 10 man rotation is reasonable. But you need to build in some slack given injuries that may require long recuperations or medical red shirts. And to practice 5-on-5 you need coverage when some guys occasionally miss practice due to sickness, exams, etc.

You need big practice bodies too.
There’s a reason why Armi Kelly had a breakout season. He practice against Haynes every day!
