What actually makes me optimistic is that we finished in the top 6 three of the past four years despite dogshit recruiting and very little in game coaching. Even if English can only improve recruiting, we could be very competitive very quickly.

GIVING DAY 2023
It's been an exciting and encouraging day. The renewed level of interest and optimism is something I haven't experienced with this program in a decade.. since I was a student. I honestly don't think I could be happier for this program, our University, and all of us. While there is no guarantee of success, this just feels different. It feels like the beginning of something special. Today has been special.

It was great to donate to something I believe in again. It's invigorating to have a collective sense that we are heading in the right direction. With all the time that we choose to dedicate to this, today feels like we got something back. The groundswell of support has shown what this program can be again.

It's been 5 years since I've been to a game, and I can't wait to fly in next season to see this team on the court, and meet all of you for beers at Brion's, or a ByGeorge tailgate. I'll say it again, It's a Great Day to be a Patriot.

Gonna put on my GMU shirt, head to Whitlow's Rooftop and project this song and video on the wall while spraying 25 year old minkies down with their house champagne tonight. I will relish in so many WTF looks as I get escorted off the rooftop by 2-3 security guards. Will be smiling ear to ear as I leave. Ignorance is bliss.

If we go dancing anytime soon? Wouldn’t rule it out. We’ve been irrelevant for so long that I would think most AD’s/pundits view us as far more of a rebuild than we really are (especially if Kolek and Miller stay.) If were dancing in 2-3 years then English is gonna be seen as a miracle worker.
