We'll see if we land an NIT bid on Sunday. In the meantime:

After year 3 Tony is 70-30 (.700) overall, 35-19 (.648) in A10 regular season play, and 2-3 in the A10 tourney.

His record against A10 opponents - including tourney play

Davidson 4-0
Dayton 2-1
Duquesne 0-3
Fordham 2-1
GW 5-2
La Salle 3-0
Loyola Chicago 2-2
Rhode Island 4-2
Richmond 3-2
St. Bonaventure 4-1
St. Joe's 3-3
St. Louis 3-0
vcu 1-4

We're 49-7 (.875) at home during his tenure.

That's a pretty good resume in comparison to all previous Mason coaches.

Thanks for the reminder/reality check.
Tony is doing a great job. Now we just need to get over the hump.

I know we ask and demand for a lot (and we should being fans, otherwise whats the point), but this summarizes how awesome it has been to have Tony at the helm.

I'm hopeful that the administration will continue to throw and grow all the resources possible behind him and the staff (and VBL too), so that we can continue to grow where we are.

Its extremely frustrating that we have not made it over the hump into the big dance, but we can confidently say that the staff is doing all they can to correct that, and the administration too (hopefully).

There really isn't much more to say at this juncture, and hopefully we can climb the last rung into the dance sooner than later.

I would love to see this adjusted for Strength of Schedule / Quality of Opponent or at least then KemPom rating of opponent

All of us fans know how good a job that Tony has been doing in one of the best basketball conferences in the country. But, given the dearth of coverage in the local media, I wonder how many other people know this.

In college basketball you have to get into the NCAAT to really get people's attention.
Yep, this even applies further with casual fans. All of us on here can appreciate 20 win seasons and validate the progress we're seeing on the court, but casual fans and the broader Fairfax/NOVA community probably don't see that...getting into the tournament and being part of the "Madness" is that next step to really drive fan engagement with the program.

I don’t think the administration is. Let’s see the basketball budget go to 6 or 7 million a year to match Saint Louis and vcu.
