It was actually with the Mountain West Conference.

Yes. MWC. It would have been great for us, not sure how fruitful it would have been for them .

I still like trying to set something up with the new PAC but it’s going to be really hard with SDSt, Gonzaga, and Oregon and Washington State in the conference for them to say yes.

Maybe if we can get an exclusive deal with a streaming company with deep pockets (Amazon, Google, Apple) we can convince them it’s a good idea. Atlantic vs. Pacific. It’s already got great brand potential.

Gonzaga will leave the West Coast Conference (WCC) and become a full member of the Pac-12 beginning July 1, 2026.

The only way being a basketball member of a football conference is if the ACC blows up and the football schools get poached by the SEC. But I’d guess the Big East could just swoop in a grab Duke, UVA, UNC, et al and leave the other schools scrambling for a home.

We are at a good level right now. We just need Dayton to find a better in-game manager, URI and Davidson to complete their transition and be good again, and for us to keep growing and getting better. That’s the makeup of a 3-bid league again if all those schools plus SLU and vcu continue to fund their program at the level they are right now.

And I didn’t even mention historically good St. Joes, Richmond, Loyola, or GW.

Oh, and we mostly still make sense geographically. The vast majority of our conference on the east coast between NC-NY.

The Patriots will celebrate their anniversary Dec. 13, during an afternoon game against former CAA rival Old Dominion. At halftime, there will be a ceremony to raise a banner honoring Larranaga.

“For me, how I got here, the things I’ve been through in life, I’ve always been a keep-your-feet-where-your-feet-are guy,” Skinn said. “We all have goals. I’ve always been a firm believer that if you win, and you’re successful, opportunities are going to come.

We all know how hard winning is, and I try to just focus on the day-to-day. I don’t want to coach the Los Angeles Lakers. I’m in DC. I’m home. I’m at my alma mater. If there was a KenPom score for happiest coach in America, I think I’d be top 10.'.
