None of us knows what the what the upcoming portal market will look like. There is no way of knowing any players market value. Even NIL agents don't know.99 Patriot knows what he is talking about, that's all I can say

I think you’d be surprised, payments to players are not spread evenly whatsoever. 90% of your budget is probably going to 10-20% of your roster at our level. I’m not positive about Masons situation specifically but I’ve heard enough similar stories across schools that are similar in conference and rumored budgets that I’d guess we are in the same boat.
Loyola? Wow. That’s some serious NIL mismanagement. From what I’ve heard, the top NIL spenders in the league are SLU, Loyola Chicago, Dayton, vcu, and this year GW, then Mason. The top spenders are around 5 to 6 mil, and Mason is probably somewhere around 2 to 3 mil.
Unless he is Brayden O'Connor, Brayden O'connor's wife, immediate family member, roommate, Tony Skinn, Part of Tony's staff, Brayden 's agent etc..he's guessing like everyone else here(myself included....he might have a some inside than most of us aren't privy too..but it's still is an educated guess99 99 patriot knows

The bottom line is the portal rules have changed this year again.. The open period has been trimmed from 30 to 15 days and now it's starts the day after tournament end as opposed the middle of the it
Those two factors will change the volume of traffic entering the portal and level of competition at Brayden's position. He might be command more dollars and he may command less.
Maybe BOC doesn't want to take that chance given that he hasn't played in a year. Maybe he decides to finish out the season and get overseas.
No one really knows except Brayden's inner circle.
One thing is for sure. Per Chris Mack..the eligibility committee is f'd up. Nothing is guaranteed even if BOC follows the rules.
In NCAA Division I men’s basketball, a player can appear in up to 4 games in a season and still take a redshirt year.
Key Points:
- ✅ You can play in 4 or fewer games and still qualify for a redshirt.
- ❌ If you play in 5 or more games, you lose the redshirt for that season.
- This rule has been in effect since the 2018–19 season.
- It applies to regular season and postseason games.
There is also a medical redshirt (hardship waiver) option if a player suffers a season-ending injury, but that has separate criteria.
Bob sacamano told me that BOC will tell me his plan.My sources tell me with 100% certainty that we'll all know what BOC's plan is after he announces it.![]()
