Biberty!
What a bad commercial…Biberty!
You remember and know it and to what it's referring. Sounds like a marketing success to me. But it is horrible. What a bad commercial…
The A-10 feels destined for another deep NCAA Tournament run. With the committee continuing to over-seed mediocre power conference teams, one of our battle-tested champs is bound to draw a “favorable” matchup—against an overrated high-major that hasn’t seen real adversity since January. These aren’t mid-majors limping in—they’re tough, experienced squads who had to earn everything. The disrespect might just be the fuel for another Cinderella ride.I'm hoping that the A10 will get back to being a multiple bid league although given the current landscape I'm not that confident it will actually happen. Thanks for posting!

Remember the commercial, never bought a policy…wasted money on me anyway. You remember and know it and to what it's referring. Sounds like a marketing success to me. But it is horrible.
Honestly one of the worst OOCs I can remember. 0 top 100 opponents in the A10 is bad.Last year's NET rankings of current known/potential opponents for upcoming season (best case scenario opponents in bold):
Mte- 2 vs Fau (113)/Ohio (175)/Lmu (161)
Home MTE game - 1 vs BC (277), Jacksonville (194), Pacific (297) or Stony Brook (340)
@ VT (167)
Jmu at home (156)
ODU at home (293)
Siena at Home (260)
Penn at Home? (306)
With each announced opponent, hope continues to dwindle of having even a decent OOC

ODU was 293 last year, literally doesn't get much worse than that.Just having JMU and ODU and at VT is decent. It certainly isn't horrible. Would you rather have UMBC and uncasheville?
I think the expectation especially with the 3 year deal with ODU is that they are going to improve over the course of the series with Mike Jones at the helm.ODU was 293 last year, literally doesn't get much worse than that.
UNC-asheville was 192 and UMBC was 298, but both were buy games with no returns. So yes we would.
For the record, I'm hugely in favor of the old CAA rival games, particularly in state opponents. But I'm more in favor of higher ranked teams that will put us in a position to argue for an at large, instead of being the reason we don't get it.
Hard disagree. I'd find it hard to believe the staff would shy away from a tougher OOC, if given the opportunity, because they have a brand new team. They saw how this scenario played out last season. We’ve got a brand new team, and they need time to build chemistry. This isn’t the season to take on tougher competition. Just focus on coming together and getting ready for conference play.
Unfortunately, it looks like every year we’ll have a brand new team. We’ve got a brand new team, and they need time to build chemistry. This isn’t the season to take on tougher competition. Just focus on coming together and getting ready for conference play.
Maybe, but Skinn has shown he can bring back key players each year. Last year it was Maddox and Billups. This year, he’s bringing back O’Connor.Unfortunately, it looks like every year we’ll have a brand new team.
Those games are fine, and I want to have them, but shouldn't be pointed to as evidence that our OOC schedule is "decent", which is what I was responding to.I think the expectation especially with the 3 year deal with ODU is that they are going to improve over the course of the series with Mike Jones at the helm.
Its certainly not my favorite home and home, but at least we'll get some fan interest with ODU and JMU coming to play at EBA in the nonconf.
If ODU sucks the next 3 years and sucks our NET down, I'll be really unhappy.
Listen to any interview with Skinn and you’ll hear him say he knew last year’s team was going to be good. He had returning players and Haynes, who was the best player in practice the year before.Hard disagree. I'd find it hard to believe the staff would shy away from a tougher OOC, if given the opportunity, because they have a brand new team. They saw how this scenario played out last season.
Scheduling is no doubt brutal, but we have to figure out how to get into better MTEs to at least provide a little bit more balance and opportunity in the OOC.
