I agree he is the favorite but if we can bring in someone who is proven at that spot to help be thunder/lightning with him that would be good.Pretty sure Kanga is the favorite to start at the 5
Probably that and a scoring wing and we're set?

Definitely want Hill back if he can get a waiver. No question. Is there anything official that Presley is coming back? Because I’m not sure there’s much PT for him unless we’re getting him cheap to get 5-10 mins.
Kind of a similar thought for Hill. He was a turnover liability last year, can’t really shoot, and seems to lost some athleticism after his injury.
I’d much rather use the resources on a big man that can play defense than either of them at this point.

Looking at where we are right now, I wonder if there is a concerted effort to limit the number of bench guys that play big minutes (i.e. Are we paying a bit more for the best matches, and giving up on some of the depth)Loyola 44

I hope so. I’ve thought it made more sense to keep a 8-9 man rotation of absolute dudes. Let’s them get a rhythm, play off one another, etc. Tony executed this well with 59. Last year seemed like we had a bunch of guys around the same skill level and Tony had to try to find who was the hot hand on any given night. I hope we pour 90% of our money into 8 guys who fit and can ball, and if someone surprises you over the summer and cracks that rotation then it’s a pleasant surprise. No participation trophies here.Looking at where we are right now, I wonder if there is a concerted effort to limit the number of bench guys that play big minutes (i.e. Are we paying a bit more for the best matches, and giving up on some of the depth)
One of the most common criticisms of Tony here is how deep he goes with rotations (10-11 guys per game).
Our top 8 looks really good to me (25 minutes per game * 8 players = the whole game is covered)-
G- Okojie, BOC, Lillian
Wing- EOE, Fatt?
Big- Kanga, Adair, Marcus
Then it's a only matter of finding minutes for a couple for freshman in Pendergrass and Miller (assuming they earn the time).
Assuming Fatt does get the waiver and return, it looks to me like Pressly and/or RPM will either be "deep depth," they'll have shown up wildly ahead of expectations (mine anyway), or we will have been ravaged by injuries and bad luck to the point where they're pressed in to duty.
...Or the board will be curious about our rotations again.
