Obviously Skinn is crushing it, so this idea might be off. But freshmen are generally cheaper than proven players. I’d like to see Mason try a Fab Five–type approach—go get the best freshmen early before they become overpriced.
Not gonna happen. Why would five star kids come to mason with all the well discussed challenges and antiquated processes we have? Come on, lol.

Hey it’s the offseason so wild ideas are always welcomed.

I’m sorry but He can’t even keep Isaiah out of the portal? I don’t think that young man is in desperate need of bags of money with Tony’s salary. ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️
This feels like a "son, you're not going to get minutes at Mason" situation. I'm sure he's got some lower level opps already lined up for him.

My personal opinion on Isaiah is that this year was always going to be a true redshirt year. Get him ahead on credits, preserve his eligibility, and build strength so he's better prepared for wherever he lands. Hope he finds his spot and kills it.
Practicing every day against A-10 guards will only help him wherever he ends up next

I think you nailed it. Great year of experience under a great staff. Think he can now play right away at a smaller conference school and make an impact. This was always going to be how it worked out.

Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year, led the nation in steal rate.

Like Matas. Would be perfect for the four spot. Good enough to provide solid minutes, not so good that he's a focal point and taking time away from Pendy.

I'm not sure if Makar is any good but he is 7'1, so if that's legit and we can afford him at a reasonable rate, I say why not!

According to Field of 68, St. Louis will return 9 players for next season:

Amari McCottry
Trey Green
Kellen Thames
Ishan Sharma
Quentin Jones
Cam Hutson
Jax Kerr
Badara Diakate
Luke Laczkowski

Tony Skinn is 2-0 against St. Louis head coach Josh Schertz and 3-0 overall against St. Louis

Tweet by @TheFieldof68:

And beat the best team SLU has had in many years by 29 points to deny them a solo regular-season title.

Schertz is everyone else’s golden boy with the $10 million roster budget, but he’s Tony’s bitch.
