To me the guy is a class act. The fact that he didn't just go out of his way to attend Carolyn Marsh's Memorial Service last year but gave eloquent remarks about a woman who was his secretary for one season more than 30 years ago shows the type of person he is. Add in the stories of how he would be the first person to reach out to Dick Vitale every single morning during his cancer treatments is another testament to him just being a good person.

We were not exactly a major up and coming program when he left us. I'd say his decision worked out ok for his career.

Okay. I hear you. And I am glad to know that. Softens my feelings a bit.
But I'm still miffed...though slightly less.

Since the discussion continues....If you haven't read A Season Inside: One Year in College Basketball by John Feinstein, it's worth it. Great insight into Barnes at Mason, along with many other programs.
