"WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference named Loyola Chicago sophomore Luka Ivancic the Under Armour Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while George Mason graduate student Jaume Salvado earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Saint Bonaventure freshman Felix Schöne and Saint Louis freshman Theo Franca were selected as the Co-Rookies of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Sep. 15-21."

"Salvado, a goalkeeper from Barcelona, Spain, made a season-high eight saves in the Patriots’ 1-0 victory at UMBC on Saturday. Salvado recorded his first clean sheet of the season and eighth in a George Mason uniform, earning his second A-10 weekly award this season."

"FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team hosts Georgetown on Tuesday with the opening kick scheduled for 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.

The two clubs are meeting in the regular season for the first time in 24 years (October 16, 1991) and the Hoyas are making the trip to Fairfax for the first time in 29 years (October 18, 1986).

In the last meeting between the two clubs, the Patriots defeated the Hoyas, 3-1, on October 16, 1991. The Patriots and Hoyas were scheduled to meet during in 2021, but the match was canceled due to COVID-19.

The Patriots have won six straight matches against the Hoyas with four by shutout and are 7-0-1 in the last eight meetings against Georgetown."
