Marquise Moore has a torn ACL?

Nothing from any of those tweets confirms a torn ACL for Marquise, in fact all Holman does is ask Rothstein. Actually if you read the tweets below Gunnie's they seem to clear up that it was all just a rumor. What am I missing?

Really feel bad for Moore. This year would of been a huge growth year, hopefully he will be back and hungry.

Wow. Dagger. Hewitt not recruiting a true PG for the past 2 years has finally caught up to us.

Well.... the silver lining is we will most likely have a new head coach after this year.

I was thinking the same thing. Ironic for a coach whose strength is supposed to lie in recruiting. It'll be an even tougher year without Moore, but his absence may be good for the program in the long term if it helps lead to a coaching change.

Well, at least now we might see Patrick in a hybrid PG role kind of like he was at PVI. Might be interesting. Of course we're lacking at SG as well, then.

At least Marquise still has his red shirt. Wow, an entire season now depends on Corey Edwards.

Big guards are going to demolish us starting Corey and Pat together. Hope the rooks can play.

What are the chances of Hewitt trying something out of the ordinary to save his behind like maybe letting Myles Tate play a few minutes?

We do have Myles Tate as a walk on point guard. Walk on players are primarily used as practice opponents for the scholarship players, but with Moore injured perhaps Tate can come in and help.

Is Myles Tate our Chaz Williams?!?!

I heard from a very unreliable source that Isaiah Jackson has looked very good running the point and was even in the running to start ahead of Moore before he got hurt. I was also told he could be the surprise of this entire recruiting class, so take that for what it's not worth.

I've watched Jackson play 3 times now at Kenner, I'm just not seeing him being effective as a PG right now. He has no explosion and bad feet. One game BA tried to push him to be more assertive but that just lead to slow awkward drives in the lane and ugly layup attempts. Lets all hope Corey is up for the task this year.

I told you it was an unreliable source.

I'm really not enthused about Corey starting. He just dribbles the ball for 15 seconds before finally realizing he's supposed to be running a play, and more often than not he misses shooters coming off screens. We need to go with more of a PF this year like we did with Folarin. Maybe one of our six wing players can audition for the role.

From what I've seen from Corey at Kenner nothing has changed. He has slimmed down a little so he might be a little quicker. Jalen was taking the ball coast to coast during games, he could fit that PF position.

Am I the only who thinks Myles Tate should be given a chance?

If Corey hasn't improved and Jackson is just learning the point guard position, Holloway seems the only option at PG.

We have our own version of Chaz Williams in the form of a walk on named Myles Tate.

No.

Chaz Williams averaged almost 16 PPG in the A10 for 3 straight years... Myles Tate averaged 5 PPG in 1 year in JUCO... Please stop the madness. He's not the savior.
