Understand. My hope is every year they give him more (and my understanding is they will).

Portal recruitment is different, but hopefully we can strike gold again since we were so close last year.
Tony has said, at least twice, that he understands the portal and NIL, and is comfortable with them. That is very encouraging to hear from your coach.

Marvin has made strides in some areas that previous ADs havent, and he seems to be more forward thinking and adaptive to the current landscape. There's only so much he can do though (not saying he's perfect).

But the common denominator here is the school/Admin...

We were having this same conversation 10+ years ago, complaining about lack of modern facilities and getting left behind in that category. We're just now getting around to that (maybe?).

The NIL/roster funding is the new practice facility, and based on current info it sounds like our plan is to maybe get to a more competitive budget a few years from now. At that point...we'll probably be too late and behind again on whatever is coming next.

And I'm sure they'll just blindly throw money from those business to fund Mason athletics. Um, that's now how the business world works.
Actually thats exactly how it works in the P5 conferences. If more Mason Alums ran multi million or billion dollar companies, and were fanatics of their Alma Mater, yes money would be everywhere.

Yes, we’d have a heated lazy river flowing through campus!
